U3Tech Scholarships and Awards
Overall best student sample report card image
We at U3tech appreciate and value brilliant and high achieving students. It is unfortunate that some of these students struggle to afford tuition fees and other education resources. This can have a negative effect on students’ morale and academic progression.
As part of our “Community Give-back” policy, we at U3tech are developing features in the Bluerain School software which would help identify exceptional students from various schools that use the software. One of these features is known as the U3tech Overall Best Student Award. The software would analyse student’s academic assessments over time to determine their eligibility. Winners of the award would be able to see the confirmation at the top of their report cards once they are generated. This is an offline feature which can also be viewed on the online copies of the report cards.
Description and how it works
Bluerain School software allows for the collection and compilation of assessment data to produce report cards offline. These report cards can also be published and accessed online. Using these available data stored in the local database, the software will analyse both current and historical assessment records, including demographic data (age, gender and location) to determine the best candidate(s) for the award.
This is made possible using an algorithm with pre-defined variables to come to a decision. There would be additional info included in the software to describe how the software determined these candidates. As such, chances of a biased decision is reduced.

Future plans
U3tech plans to foster technology and research based clubs hosted in schools, to inspire and engage students in creativity and leadership. Promising students would be considered from time to time for scholarship or internship opportunities with U3tech and/or its associates.

In conclusion
Technology in the Education Industry improves the quality of education by making information easily accessible and also reducing the tedious tasks involved during tutoring and assessments. I believe Technology should also be used to encourage, support and motivate students, especially the promising and less fortunate ones.
